Medicare Hero Clients Page

For Supplement & Part D Clients

Before the commercials, phone calls, and mail start piling up, here is what actually matters for your coverage. It takes about five minutes to read.

The one thing to review this fall: your drug plan

By September 30, your Part D plan will mail you an Annual Notice of Change. It lists what is changing in your plan for 2027. Keep it handy and check these three things:

1

Premium & deductible

Find your 2027 monthly premium and yearly deductible. Compare them to what you pay today.

2

Prescriptions

Look up each medication on the plan’s drug list, called a formulary. Check that it is still covered and whether your copay is changing.

3

Pharmacy

Make sure your pharmacy is still in the plan’s network. Preferred pharmacies usually cost less.

If everything looks good

You may not need to make any changes. In most cases, your plan renews on its own on January 1.

If something has changed

Don’t worry. There is nothing you need to do just yet. Keep the notice, and we can help you compare plans once 2027 information is available.

Wait until October 1 to compare 2027 drug plans

Starting October 1, Medicare posts the drug plans for 2027. Comparing before then means looking at this year’s prices.

When you’re ready, watch our short video below. It walks you through comparing plans on the Medicare.gov Plan Finder with your own prescriptions and pharmacy.

Have these ready when you compare

For now, just watch for your Annual Notice of Change and keep it somewhere safe.

What about your Medicare Supplement?

It isn’t tied to Annual Enrollment. You can review it any time of year.

Medicare Supplement benefits are the same for each plan letter, no matter which company you buy from. A Plan G from one carrier covers the same things as a Plan G from another. Prices are what differ.

If your rate has gone up, or you’d like us to check whether another carrier offers the same plan for less, we’re happy to shop it for you. Switching carriers usually means answering some health questions, and we’ll tell you up front if that applies.
